2022 Board of Directors
President: Connor Scanolon
Vice-President: Amy Cook
Secretary: Justin Gallagher
Treasurer: Grace Robinson
Maester: Carl Fox
League Coordinators: Mary Cowart, Dalton Bolgeo
Outreach Coordinator: Doug Sims
Timeline:
1. Open nomination for two (2) weeks
2. Nominees have one (1) week from closing of the open nomination period to accept/deny nominations
3. Voting Board has one (1) week to appoint positions
4. General MUDA public has one (1) week to submit any objections
5. If no major objections, the new Board shall be instated
a. If major objections, repeat step 3
6. New and old Boards meet first week of November
Objection Process:
1. If any one has an objection to a nominee they are welcome to voice their concern
a. To voice their concern they must:
i. Submit an email to memphisultimate@gmail.com within the week of nominations
ii. Use specific examples why the nominee should not hold their position
b. If any nominees receives more than five (5) rejections, the Board must nominate a new position member
c. The Board has the right to refuse objections that are not based in truth or logic
2021 Board Positions:
President
- Tasked with leading meetings
- Tasked with keep track of projects
- Tasked with pushing members to be their best!
- Tasked with creating outreach vision and path
Vice-President
- Tasked with leading meetings in absentia of President
- Tasked with leading and coordinating projects that may need volunteer assistance
- E.g. if branding is needed and can coordinate volunteers that work on branding
- Tasked with being liaison between the Board and volunteer coordinators (other duties as assigned)
- E.g. goalty league coordinators liaison - help coordinators secure any funding/payment necessary and communicate questions, comments, concerns
Secretary
- Tasked with setting up meetings
- Tasked with taking notes at meetings and tracking agenda items
- Tasked with sending newsletters, social media as needed (can recruit an additional person to help)
Treasurer
- Tasked with keeping track of budget
- Tasked with tracking payment for fields, equipment, leagues and reimbursements
- Tasked with financing and fundraising options
League Coordinator
- Tasked with committees to run: Summer League, Youth League, Goalty League, Fall League
- Tasked (in conjunction with VP) with recruiting 2-5 other volunteers per league to assist with:
- Jersey design
- Field set-up
- SL communication
Maester/Advisor
- Tasked with providing context and historical information for Board Members
- Tasked with counseling Board and Committee Members
Outreach
- Tasked with enacting outreach visions
- Tasked with answering the question “how do we grow the ultimate community”
Committees to be created (by Board, will not be elected)
- Youth League
- Goalty League
- Fall League
